Marco thanks for the observant comment. Around this particular urban wetlands there are trails and light poles. they are one of the favorite perches for hawks to get an unobstructed view of prey on the ground. Not ideal from a natural perspective but allows one to walk right under them because they are used to people walking the trails while they hunt from the poles. Makes for an interesting balance of humans and nature. Wally |
