Wow, thank you all:-P!
I see that many have asked if there were damages or consequences. Despite its appearance in the photo is particularly impressive, this time did not do any kind of harm;-). As I put in the description, it is a particular type of time, or a "supercell", that is, the entire cloud (cumulonimbus) rotates on itself. However, there are various types of supercells, this is specifically a supercell low precipitation, that has developed in a context of dry air in the lower layers. In fact you can see how the cloud is crisp, clean and excellent visibility. The showers are small and are all on the right side of the picture, even far outside of the frame. What I've taken is the basis of the temporaland the same and its ascending currents (those in which the air rises to the top and feeds). Since the air in the lower layers is dry, it is very difficult (not impossible) that this type of supercells generate a tornado (which we call in Italian whirlwind ... are absolutely synonymous) because it is difficult to condense. The major risks associated with these types of storms can be hail also large (supercell I am not aware that this has produced) and gusts of wind. Both, however, are more associated to the area of ??rain (which is to the right of the area shutter) than the area that I picked photos;-). Wow, grazie a tutti ! |

Great coldness judging by the optics were not so far away. An incredible sight and disturbing. |
