Qui ci troviamo nella valle della Old Bagan, zona archeologica dell'antico Regno omonimo, dove sono stati edificati migliaia di templi e pagode in un'area di circa 40kmq. Gli edifici risalgono al periodo compreso tra XI e XII secolo; ad oggi sono presenti oltre 2.000 pagode tra originali e restaurate. Accanto scorre il fiume Ayeyarwady. Quello che ho inquadrato é il santuario più massiccio di Bagan, risalente al 1.170 circa. Al tramonto lo spettacolo é unico, per la particolare colorazione dei templi che si possono ammirare a perdita d'occhio.
