Sono numerosissime le opere delle popolazioni primitive locali in cui si riconosce questo bellissimo uccello. Anche ora questo aracari non passa mai inosservato tra gli abitanti del posto. In effetti i suoi colori e il becco, che sembra veramente infiammato, lo rendono particolarmente affascinante
Per informazione e' un aracari che vive esclusivamente in Costa Rica e in una limitatissima zona a nord di Panama.
Il grande Alexander Skuth, studioso e biologo statunitense, salvando dal disboscamento una grande zona adiacente all'Oceano Pacifico nel sud del Costa Rica, ha contribuito notevolmente alla tutela di questa specie.
Colgo l'occasione per ringraziarlo, e per aver dedicato l'ultima parte della sua vita a questa missione, insegnando ai locali quanto sia importante la salvaguardia del loro patrimonio naturale

There are countless works of primitive peoples rooms where you recognize this beautiful bird. Even now this aracari never goes unnoticed among the locals. In fact, its colors and its beak, which seems really inflamed, making it particularly fascinating :-)
For information and 'a aracari that lives exclusively in Costa Rica and in a very limited area north of Panama.
The great Alexander Skuth, American biologist and scholar, saving from logging a large area adjacent to the Pacific Ocean in the south of Costa Rica, has contributed greatly to the protection of this species.
