Per l'inquadratura cerco sempre di dare dinamicità alla foto creando una diagonale con gli elementi, sia il tronchettino che il rametto con le foglie stanno su una delle diagonali principali.
Potresti aver ragione sul decentramento della foglia centrale, ma fidati non era una condizione di scatto semplice; freddo, neve, vento e senza treppiede.
Non sei stato cattivo, assolutamente, amo la criticità costruttiva.
