hello Belle parole Max, un po' di bellezza è in ogni cosa, molto dipende dalla predisposizione d'animo di che osserva.
Come guida ti sarei di intralcio, ho qualche problema di deambulazione e vado lento.
Ad ogni modo il Lago d'orta è piccolo e, se ne hai il tempo, ti suggerirei di farci il giro intero in senso orario, iniziando quindi da Pella dove puoi fare la prima tappa, c'è un lungo lago per la passeggiata ed un piccolo centro storico con isola pedonale affacciato al lago da dove si possono fare belle foto specie la sera:

da Pella puoi salire alla Madonna del Sasso, 15 min in auto, se la giornata è bella il panorama vale la salita. Da Pella guardi in direzione opposta al lago e vedi un costone di roccia con sopra una chiesa, il posto è quello, non ti puoi sbagliare.
proseguendo verso Omegna si incrociano alcuni scorci dai quali fare delle foto, puoi farti un giro ad Omegna per poi scendere verso Orta, il luogo più interessante del lago, se c'è molta gente però non è così bello, ti conviene telefonare all'ufficio del turismo del posto per sapere in quale giorno della settimana NON ci sono i pullman di tedeschi, arrivano a giorni fissi e se scegli il giorno sbagliato c'è davvero ressa altrimenti è un luogo delizioso. Per me Orta dà il meglio nelle giornate uggiose autunnali.
Puoi visitare il sacro monte di Orta, è un luogo tranquillo per una breve passeggiata con alcuni scorci interessanti sul lago e la solita via crucis.
Puoi naturalmente visitare l'isola di S. Giulio, con 4 euro la barca fa andata e ritorno, se devi scegliere tra il sacro monte e l'isola scegli quest'ultima.
Da Orta si può salire sul Mottarone, circa 30 min, vista fantastica sui laghi ad est, Maggiore e laghi di Varese e qualche buono scorcio sul lago d'Orta:

Da Orta poi prosegui verso Gozzano fermandoti eventualmente lungo la strada quando vedi uno scorcio interessante, quindi il giro del lago finisce.
Se ti fermi fino al tramonto per una foto puoi scegliere tra Orta s. Giulio ed il Mottarone.
Dal Mottarone se il tramonto è di quelli buoni puoi fare belle foto in più di una direzione, compresa una gran bella vista sul Monte Rosa:

se il tramonto invece non è dei migliori allora la piazzetta di Orta ti garantisce uno scatto soddisfacente in ogni caso, anche con tempo brutto, puoi stare tranquillo, su questo sito gli esempi non mancano.
