La composizione articolata della volta della Camera di Madama Reale, dove compaiono due tipi di intonaco: il primo, più sottile e dalla superficie liscia e compatta, all'interno delle specchiature, il secondo, a grana più grossa, con una componente di polvere di marmo, al di fuori delle cornici. È probabile che questa diversa qualificazione delle superfici corrisponda alla volontà di ottenere effetti di luce differenti tra il mondo onirico e sulfureo dove giganteggiano gli atlanti e le immagini delle virtù cardinali e quello più disteso e terso dedicato al ruolo di Madama Reale. L'inusuale corposità della materia pittorica si deve all'uso di leganti oleosi stesi su uno strato di preparazione di colore rosso bruno simile all'imprimitura di una tela, in grado di accentuare gli effetti di profondità del colore, specialmente nel caso di un pigmento largamente utilizzato come il blu oltremarino. Questa studiata regia di effetti materici e coloristici è accompagnata dalle variazioni dei rosa e dei verdi negli stucchi colorati in pasta che proseguono e allargano nello spazio reale gli effetti della composizione, resa scintillante dall'uso dell'oro in foglia, arricchito da tocchi di lacca rossa.

Franco se avessi osato minimamente pensare di usare la base in marmo sarei stato buttato fuori: il personale è molto gentile ma controllano ogni mossa e sempre con fermezza ti sollecitano in modo che non si sfiori la minima cosa, per contro positivamente puoi scattare per un giorno intero indisturbato e si informano pure (alcuni) quale obiettivo usi, che ISO imposti ecc...!;-)Sorriso
