Vengono ripresentati, dopo più di cento anni, gli argenti donati dagli Stati Uniti a Federico Sclopis, giurista e senatore torinese, nominato da Vittorio Emanuele II delegato del Regno d'Italia per il Tribunale arbitrale di Ginevra. L'abilità diplomatica di Sclopis gli valse due importanti riconoscimenti ufficiali: il servizio Tiffany, opera di Eugène Soligny, dono del governo americano, e la fioriera degli argentieri londinesi Garrard, dono della regina Vittoria. I cinque magnifici pezzi sono testimonianza del gusto delle Grandi Esposizioni di fine Ottocento per le oreficerie di grandi dimensioni, decorate da figure tridimensionali, in stile revivalista e accademico.
