Mi permetto di rispondere ad Antonio con simpatia 
Prima di tutto non bisogna aver paura di questi animali e facendo attenzione ci si più avvicinare anche di moltissimo senza pericolo. Poi vedendo l'ottica che hai usato e considerando la distanza minima di messa a fuoco, direi che eri tutt'altro che vicino.  A 5m non fa paura neanche un cobra reale!
In ogni caso, per staccare così bene il soggetto dallo sfondo, l'ottica che hai usato è perfetta!

First of all, do not be afraid of these animals and making sure we bring even more without a great deal of danger. Then seeing the lens you used and considering the minimum distance of focus, I would say that you were anything but close. :-) A 5m does not scare even a king cobra! :-D:-D
