, 1/50 f/8.0, ISO 200, hand held.

This is a typical mussel (duck mussel, Anodonta anatina) from Finnish lake. I found it beside the pier one morning. It was not there in the night before. The trail continued outside the picture several meters. I wondered how it got there... Later I found out that it has a LEG! I must confess that I had not the faintest idea about that. Just a small story what nature can teach us every day... #Laghi #Lakes

Great document, I came to bit late - like three years and a half later, but I must admit I had never even asked myself if the mussels could walk. In my opinion, the best thing about this story is that you (unintentionally, I suppose: you do not speak Italian, do you?) Did a wonderful pun, some sort of wordplay with your title. "Journey to n ozze" in Italian means honeymoon and you wrote "Journey to c ozze", when "mussel" is actually a funny way to address a ugly girl. Did you want to do that?

- No one had commented on the word game Honeymoon / Mussel Journey did in the title? Fantastic! :-D

Thank you very much for your really great comment. At that time I did not understand Italian at all (nowadays a little bit). I have had no idea of this pun. The Google translator is guilty of this. MrGreenMrGreen
My original title in English is ”mussel's journey”. Please click ”mostra/nascondi originale” to see my English text.
As you can see, I had no clue of honeymoon or ugly girls. MrGreen
Thanks again Giammarcoa!
