Ho avuto molti problemi di distorsione geometrica nel post produrre questo scatto, in parte dovuti ad un cattivo posizionamento del fotografo ed in parte dalle aberrazioni della lente. Non sei il primo ad avermi fatto notare quel problema, e e ne sono altri

I have had many problems of geometric distortion in post production this shot, in part due to bad positioning of the photographer and in part by the aberrations of the lens. You're not the first to have me pointed out that problem, ee are others wow!

Questa foto, assieme ad altre che ho fatto quel giorno a Venaria, è il motivo per cui ho venduto il canon 15-85 dopo aver provato l'8-16 sigma.
Ricordi la chiacchierata che abbiamo fatto qualche giorno fa?
Quel giorno ho fatto molte foto di architettura e non sono riuscito ad averne nemmeno una con linee dritte, sicuramente avevo meno esperienza ma quella lente proprio non è indicata per questo genere di foto, perlomeno l'esemplare che avevo io, troppe distorsioni irregolari.
Anche se, onestamente, è un'ottima lente per uso generico o paesaggio.

This photo, along with others that I did that day in Venaria is why I sold the canon 15-85 after trying the 8-16 sigma.
Remember the talk we did a few days ago?
That day I did a lot of photos of architecture and I could not have even one with straight lines, certainly had less experience but that lens just is not suited for this kind of picture, at least the copy that I had, too much distortion irregular.
Although, honestly, it is an excellent lens for general use or landscape.

Wow caspita, be qui hai fatto della buona PP e non vedo notevoli distorsioni... se non una lievissima bombatura verso l'interno che si nota in alto alla foto nella parte centrale racchiusa dalle due arcate.
In ogni caso hai fatto bene a venderlo se ti dava così grossi problemi geometrici . Non avrei mai pensato, è un informazione utile!
Certo che la ricordo bene la nostra discussione ed ha avuto dei risvolti mega interessanti, grazie ai tuoi interventi mi hai spronato a "scoprire" un tools nuovo in PS CS6, che è davvero potente se usato per esempio in collaborazione con la correzione lente in Camera RAW. Il tool "ritaglia prospettiva"! Davvero notevole e utilissimo, da usare ovviamente con parsimonia

Wow wow, well here you have done PP good and I do not see significant distortions ... but a very slight inward curvature that can be seen in the top of the photo in the center surrounded by two arches.
In any case, you were right to sell it if you gave so large geometric problems wow. I never thought, it is a useful information!
Of course I remember our discussion of the implications and had mega interesting, thanks for your post urged me to "discover" a new tools in PS CS6, which is really powerful when used for example in collaboration with the lens correction in Camera RAW. The tool "perspective cuts"! Very impressive and very useful, to be used sparingly, of course ;-)
