at 34mm, 30 sec f/5.0, ISO 100, tripod. Etna, Italy.

Nuovo parossismo dell'Etna.

Taking fine workmanship, good!
if you really want to find a note I would try to avoid the trail (albeit slight) of the stars.

For the rest it is just to admire!
compliments,
Roberto.

:-| :-|

Thank you so much to everyone, I did not think I had these visits!
To be noted that live is another thing remotely comparable to the picture ...:-D.

So, I'll explain a bit how did this picture ...
Saturday night, I was leaving (I live in Bronte, the village of pistachio 8-)) direction ... Belper (country place on the South East of Etna ... Bronte is instead to the west of the volcano.
I called my brother, informing me that Etna was in business ..
(From Bronte's view is not perfect, because the NCSE (new crater south east), obviously being placed in the opposite side to mine, is visible from the countries opposed to mine. 8-))
Well, I look out from the all-extraction, and I consider that, having to go in Belper, from there, the view was great ..
then I mount everything in the car and head towards Belper with friends, pizza in a friend's house:-P :-):-D)
The View was perfect, beautiful fountains of lava, but nothing that ..
about 1.30, in the evening over, coming out, we saw scary things .. high fountains of centiania Meters ... in short, a terrific show .. deafening roar ... everything was shaking.
I I get in the car with a friend of mine, the other began to climb towards the Rifugio Sapienza, near the NCSE .....
Excitement in Mille ... you can not imagine!
The fact is that around 2, this my friend, tells me that he must rincasarewow! Wow! ... Wake up early the next morning ...
arghhhhhhhhhhhh: fconfuso :: fconfuso: wow!
You could have told me before ... :-(:-D .. and goes boh ... I have, however, forced
to do some shooting on the street ..... unfortunately, although I had in front of the crater, the view was obscured by the light poles, houses etc etc. .... I made some shots but nothing ..: fconfuso:
At about 3 I got home .. sadly go down from the car, but by no means won, grab backpack, tripod etc etc, and I go up, walk in an area, just above my house ...!
Monto stand (on a pretty steep descent:-D) and I try not to include in the photo, the various houses and trees that I was standing in front ..
In the picture, in fact, I removed a few trees that I caught him with a shot.
I did about 4 shots, of which one presented here in the forum ...

The shot was for fLimited orza of things (but not much anyway, you see a little of everything) because of the houses that I had to my left ..
As for the blur of the stars ... You're quite right, I should have done a dpppia exposure ... (small forgetfulness), but that's okay!
Soon I'm going to move (a paroxysm started) on a mountain (Mount Minardo .. a prehistoric crater), and there, guys, I'll show ....! Etna is dotted with many craters, then immortalerei, not just the paroxysm, but also the various craters that underlie ..
as the French would say, Merci beaucoup et à la fois prochaine! :-)

Sorry for the length of the post:-D

Am I disturbing you again because I think the shot deserves it ... Regardless of the condzioni I think you did a sublime work, the composition seems to me excellent and well arranged the elements in the frame.
Did I mention the wake of the stars but it is absolutely a detail compared to the size of the photo, at least as far as I'm concerned ...
Once again, congratulations, deserves at least an EP!
Congratulations,
Roberto.

Thank you very much Roberto, to me, like the photo well l '"Cotton effect" that has been created in the cloud, for both conformation and for the long exposure time.
Fortunately I was able to include in its entirety, this pyroclastic cloud and the shape of the volcano.
There is, however, to say that a purely qualitative level, the shot would have made it even more if it had been made with equipment of good quality, but that's okay! :-) Slowly ENRICH kit:-D

The effect of the cotton cloud is absolutely fantastic ...
In this case the equipment has been amply compensated by the "handle"!

Beautiful photos, thanks for sharing experiences and places.

Only comment I would make, I would have used slightly more high iso and down the shutter speed to 10 or 15 seconds to try to stop the stars better.

Still great document and photo ;-)
