Unforgettable Gino (Tribute to Gino Bartali) sent on September 23, 2013 (15:49) by Koda59. 80 comments, 5359 views.

Firenze, Italy.

@ Franco Buffalmano:
That's great! The myth of my childhood!
Thanks for the nice words Franco. Of course Elvis wrote a beautiful song dedicating it to a great champion in sport and in life and I could not remember the lyrics of this "poem" which is a hymn to a great character of the cycling of "heroic" times. Regards, good evening and a sincere thank you for your contribution and the welcome step. See you soon! Greetings Koda ;-):-P

@ Francoia:
I still remember my father spoke to me with the fury of certain businesses of the two
. Franco course, even if you do not say explicitly, almost certainly you're referring to the dualism and the legendary duels between Coppi and Bartali that our elders tell us or told us with such passion and fury ...

timing admirable
. I confess that the photo was guarded on one side and modesty, respect, and I do not know for what reason I did not see that made a few people, I figured that I miss my wife had seen her and I dedicate it to him sincerely, because if today are this forum to comment on my photos I owe especially to her that I was always encouraged, supported, and that he understood that the "bears" if they want, they can also photograph:-D:-D:-D Best regards and a thank you, together with a Good night dear Franco. A persto! Greetings Koda ;-):-P

A great photographic document and didactic, that reminds us of a celebrated cycling champion and a person of immense humanity. Besides the important recognition received yesterday by the Israelis in Padua in 2011, Bartali was inserted into the Garden of the Righteous of the World.
Koda Congratulations and thank you for sharing with us this intense moment.
Best regards and good day!
Sergio:-P

. It has often proved Bartali in sport and in life his immense kindness and generosity, I fully agree. I have also chosen to share with you this picture of Gino especially wanting to pay tribute, in my small, appropriate recognition to this fantastic character who has had a very important award for his heroic behavior, risking his own life. Sergio soon! Greetings Koda:-P ;-)

The bicycle has willed and rode a life .... a good example for those who know me!
. I repeated the whole sentence because you gave me the athlete to say that this has really been a great example for all of us and especially for the younger generation who love the achievements and sacrifices made easy with a few "shortcuts", you understand me Max what I mean ... Greetings and thanks for your valuable assistance and always welcome step. Greetings Koda:-P ;-)

The great "Ginettaccio" ... a real man, in sport as in life! :-P
Really exciting and beautiful to remember ... always! :-)
With my band we devote, in each of our concert, the beautiful song by Paolo Conte of which you've reported the text in its entirety!
Thank you for having reminded everyone here in the forum!
