Rispondendo alle tue domande, si il posatoio in questo caso è una specie di spiga ed è stato spostato (tagliando con una forbice lo stelo alla base) per scegliere uno sfondo più adeguato e per agevolare la ripresa.
Non mi sono spostato di molto, circa 1 metro da dove si trovava, e durante questo breve e "delicato" spostamento la farfalla è rimasta tranquillamente posata sulla specie di spiga.... cosa questa che succede quando ci si sveglia prima dell'alba per andare a fare foto... e durante quelle ore le farfalle sono piuttosto assonnate

Hello David, thank you too for the passage and comment.
Answering your questions, the roost in this case is a kind of ear and was moved (cut with scissors at the base of the stem) to choose a background and most appropriate to facilitate the recovery.
I have not moved much, about1 meter away from where he was, and during this short and "tricky" move the butterfly has remained quietly resting on the kind of ear .... this thing that happens when you wake up before dawn to go to take pictures ... and during those hours butterflies are rather sleepy :-)
