Milky Way under the Parcellara sent on July 22, 2013 (22:33) by Umberto Moroni. 47 comments, 4690 views.

, 30 sec f/2.8, ISO 3200, tripod. Pietra Parcellara, Italy.

Ciao

Max

a beautiful landscape, the yellow is too much for me and I would work on just that desaturandolo so that it is less invasive. ;-)

Ciao Max, hai ragione il giallo è eccessivo... come dici tu dovrei andare a desaturare in modo selettivo e in particolare il giallo! Sorriso
MrGreen
Ciao
Grazie per il tuo consiglio

Umberto

Hello Max, you're right yellow is excessive ... as you say I should go to selectively desaturate and especially the yellow! :-)
Them there were GigaWatt of light coming directly from the Po Valley! :-D
Hello
Thank you for your advice

Complimenti.

Ciao

I admire the passion and preparation for this type of shots, in my opinion one of the most difficult to achieve for knowledge, patience, perseverance, and not the least skill in PP.

Compliments.

Eeeek!!!

From the foot of the Stone Parcellara you can really shoot a Milky Way like that? wow!

Grazie per la visita, Sorriso

Umberto

Yes, if there is a nice clear sky and no moon! ;-) You can see a little 'purple because the sun had set a lot so some of his rays on the atmosphere clashed doing that color! ;-)
Thank you for visiting, :-)

The photo I like very much but I never thought that by so low you could see it so well! We'll definitely tour, congratulations for the shot! ;-)

allow me to express my opinion about this photo that I shot as well crafted because you put in the opposition Parcellara with the Milky Way almost like you were "talking." I find it the least successful post that you used (always in my humble opinion is means) for both the orange light pollution too saturated and too overbearing on the milky way (she is the protagonist must then pop out more), and for the first floor and also the mountain on the right that I find too little bleached and natural for the time in which it was made the photos.
I believe that as rightly in my opinion saturate the colors or exalt the white to bring out the Milky Way or play with the white balance to give a personal touch to the nuances of a night sky, we can also do the opposite to decrease what is a little too obvious anddisturbs the balance of the image, in this case, light pollution, that even if there had been turned on all the lights in the entire northern Italy.
I hope that my criticism is not always very straightforward to disturb you (that's just me:-D)
All the best, Simone

Michele

A really great photo, from hot and cold colors that blend without any contrast.

Sorriso
Grazie per il passaggio Sorriso
Un saluto
ciao Sorriso
Umberto

Hello Simon, and foot down criticism of other people's views are always nice because you can compare and then grow from the point of view of technical and human! ;-) Quiet does not bother me at all your point of view! ;-)
It 's true, the sky in the lower part, as you say, it's too saturated desaturarlo probably had a little bit! ;-) You're absolutely right that the Milky Way in this photo has to be the absolute protagonist ... but it probably was not able to pull it out properly probably one of my technical limit in post production and according to me that night because there was still too much light ... In fact, towards the west, he could still see very well the glare of the sun and the sky was not dark enough ... I was really struggling with the naked eye to see the Milky Way! :-( In fact, in the original raw ... Most likely I could see if I waited at leastanother 2 hours surely we would have seen much better! ;-)
In the bottom I did not do anything but raise slightly the brightness curve evenly over the whole area because I wanted that also saw the dirt road, and certainly the area that has suffered the most is the right areas of the picture! ;-)
Thank you again of your advice, definitely next time in PP striated lot more careful! :-)
Thanks for the ride :-)
Greetings
