Le lanterne di Hoi An sono diventate il simbolo della città grazie alla sua storia come porto commerciale strategico tra il XVI e il XVII secolo. Mercanti provenienti da Cina e Giappone si stabilirono a Hoi An, portando con sé la tradizione di appendere lanterne di seta davanti alle case come segno di buon auspicio e per illuminare le abitazioni di notte. Per la cultura locale, accendere una lanterna simboleggia la preghiera per la salute, la pace e la fortuna per la famiglia. La prima di una serie di foto al rientro da un viaggio in Vietnam, meta desiderata da anni. Buona Pasqua a tutti!
