In viaggio verso il nord dell'Islanda, tra neve, silenzi infiniti e strade che sembravano non finire mai. Ma quando siamo arrivati sulla laguna di Sigríðarstaðavatn, ogni fatica è svanita. Nel tardo pomeriggio, con il tramonto ormai alle spalle, la luce residua avvolgeva il paesaggio di una magia irreale. Hvítserkur era lì, imponente e antico, come un guardiano del tempo. Ricoperto di gabbiani che ne imbiancavano la roccia, sembrava quasi addobbato: vivo, parte di un rituale naturale senza tempo. In quel silenzio, tra mare e cielo, abbiamo capito che certi luoghi non si fotografano soltanto, si attraversano, si rispettano e si portano nel cuore come grandi ricordi.
