Lunedi 11 Agosto: l'ultimo giorno intero in terra olandese e sotto una bellissima giornata di sole. La mattina come al solito a fotografare aeroplani nel mio amato Schiphol e poi a corsa verso la graziosissima cittadina di Ghietoorn nella regione dell' Overijssel in mezzo a suoi canali e alle sue caratteristiche abitazioni in mattoncini. Facciamo la nostra navigazione con le caratteristiche barchette del luogo, ma che enorme fatica navigare in mezzo a quel traffico di turisti. Dopo un bel drink mi ricordo di una bella foto ad una porta medioevale di Amersfoort realizzata dalla carissima amica Renata Ponso e mi rendo conto che si può fare...un oretta di macchina e siamo li verso le 18,30 in un soleggiatissimo pomeriggio estivo nei Paesi Bassi. Con molta calma, quella che non ho mai avuto per l'intero viaggio, monto il cavalletto e mi metto a fotografare questo straordinario monumento ripreso da una bella luce calda ed avvolgente. Poi il lento rientro al nostro campeggio molto stanchi, ma soddisfatti. Grazie cara amica Renata per questa ispirazione e dedico questa foto a te, grande fotografa! La Koppelpoort è una fortificazione sul fiume Eem della città olandese di Amersfoort, nella provincia di Utrecht, costruita tra il 1380 e il 1425. È una delle tre porte cittadine. La Koppelpoort è parte della seconda cinta muraria della città ed è una combinazione tra una porta sull'acqua e una porta su terra. Deve il proprio nome probabilmente ad alcuni giunti (in olandese: koppelingen; sing.: koppeling) nella struttura. La costruzione della Koppelpoort fu decisa alla fine del XIV secol,congiuntamente alla costruzione di una seconda cinta muraria, per proteggere ulteriormente l'accesso alla città fortificata di Amersfoort, che era già una città fortificata. Nel 1885-1886, fu intrapresa un'opera di restauro dell'edificio, sotto la direzione del celebre architetto Pierre Cuypers. Durante questi lavori, fu aggiunta alla Koppelpoort una piombatoia. Tra il 1969 e il 1993, fu installato nella Koppelpoort un teatro di marionette. Nel 1997, vi fu un'ulteriore opera di restauro. Per quest'opera di restauro, la città di Amersfoort ricevette l'Europa Nostra Award. La Koppelpoort compare nel dipinto di Matthias Witthoos Veduta di Amersfoort (1671). (wikipedia) Buona visione.
