Questa è una delle numerose sale di un appartamento, mantenuto dagli eredi di nobile famiglia così come allora, con in più, il vantaggio di non presentarsi come un museo, ma come una casa, viva, realmente abitata con le foto di famiglia sino ai giorni nostri e non ferma ai primi del 1900.
I proprietari mi hanno raccontato delle difficoltà a mantenerla, già solo per la pulizia (una decina di stanze, piene di ninnoli, suppellettili e tappeti) ma poi per la manutenzione degli impianti e della struttura stessa. A volte l'hanno affittata per riprese cinematografiche di film o fiction, raramente per qualche cerimonia. La casa, totalmente arredata, contiene anche molti tesori in oggetti d'epoca, ed oggetti personali, quindi la aprono al pubblico con molta parsimonia e tante attenzioni. Mi è stato concesso di scattare foto, ma con la rischiesta di non divulgare note identificative. Passeggiare per queste stanze, è stato un tuffo nel passato, legato al presente, ogni angolo uno stupore, fasti scomparsi nelle abitazioni odierne, o sostituiti (nelle dimore ricche) da oggetti ed arredi di lusso con un tono completamente differente. Un "bello ed elegante", quello odierno, più funzionale, più sobrio. Eppure, le piume di struzzo, nel vaso sopra il tavolo, pur "inutili" mantengono tutt'oggi grande bellezza e fascino esotico,
