No Kill Fishing sent on June 25, 2025 (0:09) by Gios. 47 comments, 543 views.

I read your interesting caption, I didn't know this typical fishing so thank you for involuntarily educating me by learning something new today.
I add the portrait to your "child" Matteo with this splendid specimen that deserved to be immortalized and then disseminated on the portal.
Good continuation.

A shot that excites me a lot, I have a dear friend who practices this type of fishing, as a kid I used to go with him and he taught me to respect the environment and the trout by releasing them after the catch, for me - an unconscious kid - who went fishing in the sea was inconceivable. Today I don't fish anymore but I frequent those same stretches of river where the otter is the hostess and I delight in taking photos...
Beautiful Gios and congratulate your son for the wonderful passion..

Sincere congratulations, this is the version of fishing that I prefer where in the end everyone is happy for the beautiful day spent outdoors including the unfortunate fish ;-)

Despite the ethical assumptions of fly fishing and the principle of "catch and release", fishing causes enormous stress in the fish. Even a short haul of the fish and the so-called minimization of damage, because the hook is barbless, causes injuries in the mouth. In many cases, releasing the fish to the so-called freedom ends in the death of the fish anyway, because the fatigue of the fight and the stress of the body make it an easy prey for other predators, and the infections of the aborted mouth do not allow it to obtain food... Sorry to both of you but I can't like this photo.
