hello, in the pages of this forum, the grays, I've seen him eat anything ... even the most unexpected, I remember even a pullo of their race ... but this, I think beats them all ... For this reason, we do not particularly like, are a little too "cruel" ... the fact remains that if he was a fish was the same thing, maybe made less impression ... for the rest ... is the nature, cruel and beautiful ... excellent and incredible document, image well defined and composed ...

Thanks Maximusbg. I ubblicato on this site a heron that ate a small chicken (or something like that because you could see only the final part (probabilemnte the animal had already been gutted), but here I really did effect because the hare was alive and struggling like a madman. poor!
Andblo Thanks for your comment.

Cabbage! What a terrible happened to the Bunny! Of course the beautiful moment caught, however, the HD pictures do not convince me. Ridurrei above the background noise that distracts a little look from the first floor. The first floor is quite acceptable given the conditions in which you have found to shoot.

Hello Clara, I join those who have gone before me in saying that it is quite natural. Even if you wrote as a hare does not effect a fish. You have to get used to the idea? Is normal for them it is food. As we all know the animals they kill to take dominion of the herd or to feed, only man does it for fun, some even calling him SPORT. Last year I had the good fortune to photograph a red heron that has regurgitated a rat of considerable size to one of her two chicks, and if I remember correctly, ElleEmme told me that these birds eat everything. Congratulations again for the shot, good light Roberto

Hello Clara!
First of all my sympathy for you that you witnessed a scene like this. It 'true that it is the law of nature but sometimes watch certain scenes is really painful and touching.

I'm sorry I do not agree with all or most of the "nature takes its course" or "Mort mea your life" or "you have to accept the course of nature" for me ....... a nice horn ..... if I see what is happening or is about to happen, in fact never do a documentary of animals. One day I was taking pictures of the little bittern in their nest when all of a sudden it popped a snake, rather a rat snake that is reckless about a little guy and was about to drag him away to the first choke him and then swallow it ..... Like hell ....... ...... I came out from behind the camouflage tarp I took the rat snake by the tail and this has now left the little guy who now live somewhere. Another time in Amsterdam I have shot in the head zoccolata Heron was hunting a goldfish in a tank ..... it is stronger than I am overwhelmed when I see one race over another specialminstitution when puppies.
Sorry if I bored
Greetings Robertino Livorno

Roberto, I understand perfectly ... however, we are seeing what happens (unfortunately) only the victim, but if we put ourselves in the shoes of the executioner we realize that ... if he does not eat well die ...
when there are half of the puppies, however, is much harder to accept this natural law .... MUCH harder!
Thank you for the comment and for the transition

Thanks Michael for your comments and for your comment!

excellent document, the hare was missing, it happened to me to assist in the capture and killing of a transfer that also very bloody, there are pictures here on the forum on my page ... but it is the natural selection only the best will survive ... if he ran strongest did not take him ... I come from the hawks have made the massacre of chicks of coots cry like crazy when you take them away ... hello! :-P

very good document, I'm sorry for the little hare, but unfortunately Nature must take its course, you've found the right place at the right time and documented the scene, but I think that in nature it happen many more and this is the proof .
Brava also to manage the lights seen the sun so high.

I know that in the post you're not very good,:-D attentive but the heron plumage below is a little greenish
