It's a great lens, for years I've kept it almost perpetually attached to the D800, it solves all kinds of fine details, and its stabilizer also works up to 1/6 handhand (occasionally even 1/5, but not at 105 mm!). But all the 24-105 f4 are excellent, the Sony G OSS on Sony FF as well is a bomb, and I tried the Canon one on a loaner R8 (with adapter, it's not a native lens for mirrorless). If I'm not mistaken you also have a D850, try it on that and be amazed by the micro details it will be able to render. And I recommend not to use too much noise reduction (or to use the AI one from Camera Raw on Lightroom, from Raw).
