Out of the Shadows sent on January 23, 2025 (8:13) by Alberto Dall'oglio. 51 comments, 1142 views.

1/160 f/1.7, ISO 100,

I also prefer this one, in which the vegetation seems to embrace the light point to hold it and reincorporate it... in the dark (perhaps it is too poetic a reading ;-) ).

I really thank you from the bottom of my heart for having tried your hand at this "contest" (as Commissioner :-D writes) and for having left such beautiful and articulate comments: I would say that the "diabolical experiment" has succeeded, because I have seen a lot of participation and I was pleased to read your arguments, which I share. :-)
From the ground this scene didn't look like much, but from above it revealed all its "potential"! ;-)
A warm greeting to all, Alberto.

Beautiful image, Alberto, congratulations, I prefer this one, the light on the tree is wonderful, but no less the texture of the grass that totally surrounds it, it seems drawn, really
beautiful,

But now you have to confess your preference between the two by arguing the motivation :-P

The contrast between the tree and the rest of the vegetation is beautiful. The other image is also very beautiful but I prefer this one, I find it more particular

Thank you for commenting on this photo! :-)
As requested by Giancarlo, I confess that between the two I also prefer this one, mainly for the sense of abstraction and for the carpet of brushwood that with the light of the last setting sun have almost come to life and show a sort of movement, even in the static nature of the scene, as if they were souls or ghosts (remember the "dementors" in Harry Potter? :-D ). In the end I also find a certain three-dimensionality in it...
The other is more descriptive, always beautiful the light that enhances the tree in its entirety; too bad for the upper right corner where the scrub ended and the beach began... It creates inhomogeneity.

Hi Alberto, splendid for "image cleanliness", play of texture and light management, to personal taste I find the tree a little too close to the left edge.

I like this one very much, it seems to me a hymn to life, up and up towards the light
to be rewarded, the other one is also very beautiful but this one for me is magical
congratulations Alberto

An unusual and intriguing sight, very suggestive and very beautiful: congratulations. [between the two, personally, I prefer this one; I am convinced that it is a matter of personal taste: the other is much more "an already seen" unlike this one which for me bipedal at ground level is "an unseen" and therefore more fascinating and triggering wonder.... but for someone else it can be exactly the opposite.... maybe I'll think again, who knows :-) ... I certainly won't fight to win the eventual litigation :-) ] :-P
