Rientrato da pochi giorni da un viaggio tra le vette impervie dell'Himalaya tra India e Nepal alla ricerca del “Panda Rosso” felice del risultato di questa avventura esclusiva; praticamente siamo stati tra i primi Europei e sicuramente i primi Italiani a recarci in quella zona specifica. Molto difficile è stato scovarlo (in una settimana visto 2 volte) nella densità della vegetazione in mezzo a rami e foglie, dato che si confonde facilmente ma, è costretto a nascondersi e mimetizzarsi in quella maniera per sfuggire al pericolo di predazione da parte dell'aquila che rappresenta praticamente l'unico predatore della specie. Il panda rosso, noto anche come "lupo di fuoco firefox” o "panda minore", è un animale affascinante e vulnerabile, originario delle foreste montane dell'Himalaya e del sud-ovest della Cina. Questi animali si trovano spesso a quote elevate, dove la vegetazione è densa e ricca di bamboo, la loro principale fonte di cibo. Le strade impervie a 4000 metri di altitudine rappresentano un habitat difficile, caratterizzato da terreni accidentati, temperature rigide e condizioni meteorologiche variabili. Nonostante queste sfide, il panda rosso ha sviluppato adattamenti unici, come il suo folto pelo e la coda lunga, che gli consentono di mantenere il calore e di bilanciarsi mentre si arrampica sugli alberi. La loro popolazione è in pericolo a causa della perdita dell'habitat, della deforestazione e della caccia. Conservare il loro ambiente naturale è cruciale per la loro sopravvivenza.
