I would have used a slower shutter speed and a slightly smaller aperture to increase the pdc

Ok it was enough for you to say I would have closed the aperture more, without mentioning the shutter speed.

Massimo di Mauro, why don't you comment on Jonathan's photo instead of commenting on the comments of others?
This is a public forum where everyone is free to express their opinion.

Certainly it is a public forum, but when you read certain comments on such beautiful and wonderful photos your jaw drops........ Anyway I had commented on the photo 8-)

Calm down guys :-D :-D
Thank you all for the appreciation, I'm glad you like the photo, I'm very happy about it 8 :-)
Surely lowering the shutter speed would have made me save considerably on the ISO issue, obviously allowing me to improve the quality of the file, certainly 1\600 was unnecessarily fast to photograph this action, already a 1\1000 would have been an extremely safe time and clearly I would have dropped to about 800 ISO. Due to the frenzy of the moment I didn't make any adjustments on this front and rather I thought about focusing and shooting ;-)
However, buying a fixed 400 2.8 and closing it, in my opinion is a contradiction at the start as long as extreme cases in which you have very small or fast-moving subjects (ermine, bearded vulture or things like that)
