Che foto creare??? Questa è stata la domanda che mi ha accompagnato per mesi! Avevo bisogno di una foto per la copertina del manuale di tecnica fotografica, ma lo scatto doveva essere all'altezza del contenuto. Doveva tassativamente essere una foto al volo, doveva essere uno scatto originale e per nulla semplice da realizzare. L'idea era quella di ricercare uno scatto specchiato, dove la simmetria ne risaltava la composizione. Inizialmente volevo ritratte un soggetto diurno per evidenziare i colori, ma il cuore ha avuto la meglio. Quando ho lanciato l'idea a Gino e Tommaso di realizzare una foto alla civetta specchiata di notte, ho capito che quello poteva essere lo scatto perfetto: la civetta ad ali spiegate, che si riflette nello specchio d'acqua all'imbrunire! Non è stato semplice realizzarla, ma a volte ciò che impedisce la creazione di uno scatto è semplicemente la mancanza di una precisa idea! Questo scatto, oltre a rappresentare alcune tecniche presenti nel libro, vuole essere un omaggio agli amici di Perugia che ringrazio per tutte le avventure, per le risate, per le notti in bianco trascorse nella natura, per la disponibilità e per l'ospitalità che mi hanno fatto sentire parte di una famiglia!
