Nelle rigogliose colline dell'Uganda orientale, la cerimonia di circoncisione di Malenge Yefusa segna il suo passaggio all'età adulta. Sta dritto, con il viso coperto di una pasta di farina di mais, provando sia paura che orgoglio. Suo padre, un anziano rispettato, gli posa una mano sulla spalla. "Oggi diventi un uomo", gli dice.
