12.08.2024 Durante il sali-scendi nella fitta Giungla di Sumatra, in condizioni climatiche proibitive, questa specie di Macachi era quasi sempre al nostro fianco...a causa del passato trascorso di un turismo poco consapevole che dava frutta e cibo alle specie selvatiche. Ancora oggi durante questi trekking si vedono guide poco ecosostenibili che per pochi dollari alimentano gli Oranghi per farli scendere a terra in modo che i turisti della domenica rientrano nelle loro casa col proprio selfie. Purtroppo a Bukit si vedono ancora tante situazioni poco etiche. Gli atteggiamenti di alcuni animali selvatici hanno subito metamorfosi antropomorfe (tipo allungare le mani in cerca di cibo), molte guide e alcuni tour operator locali stanno cercando di contrastare questa umanizzazione turistica.
