… Our ancestors had the patience to wait for the cut wood to mature in the waterways before processing it and these are the results that can still be seen today a greeting.

A structure that recalls, perhaps not coincidentally, an overturned ship's hull. Beautiful, almost moving, even the simple wooden sculptures. On the sad current events, it is useless to add other comments.

Werner , thank you!
Roberto , you got it perfectly. I believe that the carpenters of the time (about 1420) were very busy building boats rather than churches and chose the most practiced route for this structure as well.
To both the best of them the best of luck for a great weekend.

The photo is beautiful, the work and ingenuity of "our elders" is admirable, no comment for current events.
Thank you for your work.

Shot that encapsulates the knowledge and mastery of ancient artisans. Incredible detail and sharpness (even for the photo of the first comment).
The description draws a sad parallel with a tragic event that will be destined to repeat itself in our country; too many damned old public works - which often lack maintenance - or new works carried out economically, due to constant downward tenders, to save money and to please someone. The same someone who as a result of certain disasters nothing will happen because you know how it always ends.
A warm greeting,
Filippo
P.s: I noticed that you have changed equipment, how are you? :-D

Nice shot !! Suggestive caption and epilogue unfortunately from a pitiful veil ... !
