Singapore rappresenta il paradosso dell'economia: ha una limitatissima superficie geografica, non dispone di risorse naturali, ha una storia relativamente recente, eppure gode di una ricchezza finanziaria da far invidia alla Svizzera, di un reddito pro-capite molto elevato e di una classe politica tenace che governa il Paese con regole chiare e certe. Se poi ci si addentra nell'ambito sociale, si osserva come la moltitudine razziale e le profonde differenze anche religiose convivano in perfetta armonia in un sistema che offre servizi tra i migliori al mondo. Purtroppo tutto questo non mi riguarda perchè i miei interessi per Singapore sono ben altri: ho un figlio, una nuora e una bellissima nipotina che mi aspettano a braccia aperte ogni volta che posso raggiungerli....
