Aliano è un piccolo comune della Basilicata, noto per aver ospitato lo scrittore Carlo Levi (autore di "Cristo si è fermato ad Eboli") durante il suo confino. Aliano è anche conosciuta per le cosiddette “case con gli occhi”. Si tratta di curiose abitazioni le cui fattezze richiamano quelle di un volto con occhi, naso e bocca spalancata.
