Scanno 14 agosto JU CATENACCE, il corteo nuziale in cui le donne indossano il costume tradizionale di Scanno risalente al '700. L'abito è ornato da preziosi gioielli dal significato simbolico: i bottoni davanti rappresentano il melograno simbolo di fertilità, la collana è formata da pesciolini che muovendo il busto fanno rumore e scacciano le malelingue, infine la presentosa che è un tipico gioiello abruzzese donato dall'uomo all'amata. L'abito è confezionato con un tessuto che ricorda i costumi saraceni, come il copricapo. La treccia sembra un serpente. Molte donne si imbottiscono il petto, addirittura creando un terzo seno evocando sensualità, abbondanza fertilità. Bellissima festa rituale in cui il corteo nuziale (ju catenacce) si conclude con il ballo della quadriglia.
