Uno dei riti più affascinanti fra quelli delle tradizioni di Sardegna è sicuramente quello di Sa Ramadura, ovvero l'usanza di spargere petali di fiori per terra al passaggio dei carri trainati da buoi (traccas) durante molte feste importanti del folklore isolano, qua ci troviamo ad Arbus per la festa di S. Antonio da Padova. Sa Ramadura, origini e significato di questo emozionante rito – L'infiorata al momento del passaggio dei carri affonda la propria origine nei riti del passato. E, in passato, sembra non si utilizzasero fiori come oggi. Sa Ramadura avveniva infatti gettando a terra rami e rametti (donde il termine ramadura) di piante aromatiche, come alloro, mirto, menta e rosmarino, con l'obiettivo non di “colorare” la strada al passaggio delle traccas, bensì di creare profumo, attenuando l'odore fastidioso degli animali e degli escrementi che questi ultimi lasciavano lungo il cammino. La scelta dei rami e dei fiori – Col passare del tempo, alle erbe aromatiche si sono progressivamente accostati i fiori, divenuti man mano protagonisti. I fiori scelti (rose in particolare, ma non solo) devono essere particolarmente colorati e, ovviamente, “petalosi”. Vengono raccolti alla vigilia delle celebrazioni in appositi cesti, che verranno utilizzati per lo spargimento nel corso della festa, al passaggio del carro con il santo oppure con gli sposi, nel caso Sa Ramadura venga organizzata in occasione di un matrimonio. Stralcio Da (Unioneonline) Sant'Antonio di Padova ad Arbus – La Festa di Sant'Antonio di Padova è un evento di profonda tradizione e devozione, che ogni anno riunisce la comunità di Arbus e la frazione di Sant'Antonio di Santadi. Devozione, cultura e tradizione si fondono nella processione di Sant'Antonio di Padova che affonda le sue radici nelle fatiche contadine del XVII secolo. La più antica testimonianza della devozione al Santo risale al 1694, come attestato in un documento appartenente all'archivio storico della Diocesi di Ales. Il lungo cammino fino alla Piana di Santadi di contadini arburesi, nel mese di giugno, per la raccolta del grano si riverbera oggi nella solenne processione di migliaia di fedeli e una cinquantina di “traccas”, carri tradizionali trainati da buoi o da trattori, al seguito del Santo di Padova posto su un cocchio trainato da un giogo di buoi.
