The last partisan of San Lorenzo sent on April 26, 2024 (6:39) by Peppe Cancellieri. 39 comments, 731 views. [retina]

at 105mm, 1/1000 f/5.6, ISO 200, hand held. Roma, Italy.

Beautiful portrait of one of the last protagonists of the tragic events of war.
Lucky to still have him among us.

A precious testimony!! it is difficult nowadays just to imagine what has happened or what is happening a few "steps" from Italy ... accustomed to the war on TV that makes a show until, out of boredom, we no longer pay attention to
it.

I gladly join in the compliments of all the other friends who have commented on this shot before me.
Another 'noble' use of Photography is to give testimony of events and people who have something (a lot, in this case) to teach us.
Thank you Peppe, greetings,
Marcello

A hero of the homeland, a great fighter who carries on his shoulders as the only partisan veteran the knowledge of the rebellion against the dictatorship.
A big hug to Mario

Thank you very much Loris
There are patriots who drove out the invader and other "patriots" who let the invader in.
