Attraverso la lettura dell'anello si è riusciti a risalire alla storia del falco pescatore: l'individuo è stato inanellato nel nido da pulcino da Hannu Vuoto, ornitologo del Museo di Storia Naturale Finlandese, il 10 luglio 2021, in una zona umida finlandese presso la cittadina di Kauhajoki. Fotografato nel suo viaggio di ritorno verso il Nord, in zona umida della Lombardia, in fase di pesca non andata a buon fine
