Sulla facciata dell'edificio del Palazzo dei Penitenzieri in Via della Conciliazione spiccano due graziose fontanelle a forma di edicola realizzate sotto il pontificato di Paolo V Borghese e composte proprio con gli elementi dello stemma nobiliare dei Borghese, l'aquila ed il drago. La prima fontana quella di destra, verso la Basilica di San Pietro, è costituita da due sottili colonnine con capitelli, che poggiano su basamenti articolati a più livelli e che sostengono un timpano senza cornice, al centro del quale svetta l'aquila borghesiana con le ali spiegate. Sotto, al centro della nicchia, campeggia invece il drago, anch'esso ad ali spiegate, dalla bocca del quale fuoriesce l'acqua che si raccoglie nella sottostante vasca semicircolare in marmo, da cui poi ricade a terra all'interno di uno spazio delimitato da un riquadro in travertino.
