È l'alba, in lontananza il sole fatica ad emergere dalle brume di fondovalle, l'aria in quota è calda, a tratti rincalzata da forti raffiche di vento. Me ne sto al riparo di una roccia seguendo con lo sguardo un branco di camosci più sotto. Improvvisamente il gruppo si spezza, due di loro mi passano a fianco in uno scalpitio di zoccoli, gli altri si gettano giù dal pendio... Qualcosa sta succedendo ma non ho ancora capito cosa, provo a spostare l'angolo dell'obiettivo e lo vedo là, col suo sguardo magnetico, austero, quasi pervaso di una dignità soprannaturale...
