S'Iscorrau (= privo di corna, acorne)così in sardegna si chiamano i soggetti che pur avendo le bozze frontali non sviluppano il palco, assenza che può avere basi genetiche. secondo alcuni l'assenza del palco non pregiudicherebbe lo "status" del maschio all'interno dei branchi di cervi durante il periodo riproduttivo anche perchè questi risparmierebbe molte energie rispetto ai maschi dotati di palco e quindi teoricamente dovrebbe avere una maggiore vigoria, secondo altri invece il palco sarebbe fodamentale soprattutto nelle dispute tra maschi per il possesso delle femmine e in più sembra sia un carattere particolarmente apprezzato dalle femmine che tenderebbero a preferire i soggetti con i palchi più vistosi. scatto eseguito da un nascondiglio ricavato in un macchione di cisto.
