Vero capolavoro di bellezza ed ingegneria genetica. Il Thomisus non tesse tele, ma vive su foglie e fiori adattando il suo colore all'ambiente circostante (mimetismo criptico). Di solito sta fermo per lungo tempo, consentendo focus stacking di decine di scatti: su questo esemplare è stato possibile effettuare, in tempi successivi, ben 7 gruppi di scatti, dei quali solo un paio sono stati cestinati, mentre 5 sono risultati accettabili, al netto di lievissimi movimenti delle zampe posteriori e dell'addome, come nel caso della foto postata. F.s. di 60 scatti, RR: 5X, dimensioni del soggetto: 5-6 mm (zampe escluse), luce naturale, crop
