African wildcat ...

Sudafrica - Kgalagadi dry season

African wildcat sent on September 12, 2023 (20:21) by Susy Dan. 32 comments, 1662 views. [retina]

at 270mm, 1/2500 f/8.0, ISO 640, hand held. Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, South Africa. Specie: Felis silvestris

Salvo. Per questa volta.

Beautiful meeting. It is very similar to the European species. :-)

I confess that if it were not for the setting and for your always compelling story I would have thought of a domestic cat. Anyway, beautiful specimen, typical shades from African savannah and photos made at best, but this is not new. Excellent indeed, congratulations Susy.

Interesting and learned explanation. I agree that even the Italian wild cat, almost impossible to find, prefers night hunting. But even in nature the exception does not make the rule. Hunger is hunger. Excellent catch Susy.
Bye gios ;-)

Strong, a very nice and original click. But why don't they show documentaries about this little feline, always lions logically for practicality. Very good to you, hello.
