L'Islanda è di sicuro une delle terre con più vulcani attivi. Questo ha deciso di eruttare verso i primi di luglio e si trova nella Penisola di Reykjanes poco lontano dall'aeroporto di Reykjavik e la Blue Lagoon. Il vulcano prende il nome di Litli-Hrútur Vulcano, dal nome del monte subito vicino e dal quale è stata scattata questa foto con il mio drone che ho rischiato di perdere più volte. Per arrivare bisogna fare 10 km a piedi, la strada sterrata a volte sassosa e in pendenza, ma è regolarmente pattugliata, quando si arriva in prossimità del vulcano lo spettacolo non è descrivibile! E' incredibile la visione accompagnata da un rumore sordo e continuo… Di fronte a tanta meraviglia la testa va in molte direzioni e i pensieri si sormontano, quasi a non capire come possa esistere qualcosa del genere che alla fine ha dato origine ad ogni cosa ed è ancora sotto i nostri piedi.. E' stata di sicuro una delle esperienze più toccanti della mia vita. Anche questa è l'Islanda.
