shot with such a closed aperture precisely because I wanted to make a macro set.
Honestly I prefer macros without invasive background, cleaner, because, as you rightly observe, the context distracts from the main subject. But it was an attempt to change a bit. ;-)
However I have the same image in all sauces... (to all diaphragms :-D ), maybe I will insert in this post for comparison some images, but I still have to process them.

Ho scattato con diaframma così chiuso proprio perché volevo realizzare una macro ambientata.
Sinceramente preferisco le macro senza sfondo invasivo, più pulite, perché, come tu giustamente osservi, il contesto distoglie dal soggetto principale. Ma è stato un tentativo per cambiare un po'.
Comunque ho la stessa immagine in tutte le salse... (a tutti i diaframmi ), magari inserirò in questo post per il confronto qualche immagine, ma devo ancora elaborarle.
