Valle di Viù, Italy.

Fotografia scansionata con cornice ripristinata in pp. Sul retro: "Ricordo sui nevosi del Rocciamelone- Altitudine 2800 m - 17/06/1935". Questa foto è stata scattata un anno prima che il fratello di mio nonno venisse assegnato al Terzo Reggimento Alpini. Luigi, così si chiamava, amava la fotografia, la montagna e l'avventura. Dietro diverse fotografie è citato il rifugio "Ernesto Tazzetti", quindi credo che il gruppo sia partito dal Lago di Malciaussia (Valle di Viù) per incamminarsi verso il Rifugio che si trova a 2642 m. Il percorso prosegue seguendo un sentiero di scisti e sfasciati fino al Colle della Restia a 3183 m. Raggiunto il Colle inizia la via che porta al ghiacciaio. Una volta attraversato, rimane solo l'ultimo tratto da fare in cresta per raggiungere la cima a 3538 m. Guardando l'attrezzatura di cui disponevano, mi torna alla mente il pensiero di Bonatti tratto da "Le mie montagne": "I mezzi di scalata sono condizioni che lo scalatore, in armonia con la propria coscienza alpinistica, si pone per raggiungere la meta. Naturalmente il "mezzo" di scalata, che in questi ultimi anni sembra l'oggetto di interesse generale nell'ambito alpinistico, è troppo soggettivo perché possa avere lo stesso valore per tutti gli alpinisti; diciamo allora che tutti i mezzi di scalata possono valere, ovvero possono essere giustificati, fino a quando non compromettono l'indispensabile equilibrio tra la prestazione fisica e quella spirituale". E poi da "I miei ricordi":"Ciò che conta non sono tanto le scalate eclatanti, ma l'umana avventura, il saperla creare indipendentemente dagli esiti.
