Hello Maurizio, thank you and I appreciate the opinion to this unusual b / w.
As per my caption is this that I had requested and I will certainly take good note from your constructive judgment :-)
The experiments also serve to understand if they succeed or not :-) .
Good Sunday to you too Maurizio !!!
A greeting, Manlio.

Yes I know the b / w in avifauna is unusual and perhaps will not be appreciated but I decided to propose it with the curiosity to know what you weigh

Corrected what you write, in some cases there is fine, but not in this. Color especially with birdlife is essential. But it remains my humble opinion, of course. The shot regardless is very well done, congratulations Manlio.
bye gios ;-)

Hello Gios, thank you for your opinion to this my shot :-)
The shot is to be judged based on its unusualness and I read carefully all your very welcome comments " is like a kind of contest :-) :-) " and I do not deny that it intrigues me to read them :-)
Hello Gios and thanks for the ride and comment.
A cordial greeting, Manlio

Very clean, sharp and detailed image.
Honestly for birdlife I prefer color because it provides more information.
Congratulations anyway, hello
Elizabeth

Unusual, but successful game on the neutral colors of the blackcap! :-or
I also prefer colors, however I appreciate your "daring"! :-D

Great catch!
I think that for subjects so colorful to be attractive the BN is not the best.
For me BN highlights more the shapes, geometries, contrasts and movements...
Great greetings!
Oleg.

The color when you want to emphasize and re-propose the spectacular and veristic part. The b / w to investigate the emotional and imaginative part. This is to say that if I had photographed a mandarin duck in b/w it would have made less sense than a blackcap.
In this the homogeneous and quite clear background helps to highlight the subject making it clean and quite pleasant. ;-)
Greetings
GG

Hello GG , Alex1950 and John thanks for your opinion to this my unusual shot, you are in agreement with GG in birdlife the b / w is a "minefield" you risk trivializing a subject that instead has exceptional characteristics of colors 8-)
A cordial greeting to all, Manlio
