Sui colli euganei, stamattina, ho avuto la lieta sorpresa di incontrare questa solitaria farfalla, un po' infreddolita per la verità, che si è lasciata fotografare abbastanza facilmente. C'erano folate di vento, per cui non è stato facilissimo "fermarla" in uno scatto. Speriamo che sia di buon auspicio per la primavera entrante. L'identificazione è questa: "Polygonia c-album (Linné, 1758) - Famiglia Nymphalidae - Sottofamiglia Nymphalinae - Apertura alare: Da 4,2 a 5,2cm. Distribuzione in Italia: Presente in tutte le regioni isole comprese, ad eccezione della Puglia. - Habitat: Prati, ampie radure e margini dei boschi, dal livello del mare sino a 1800 m. - Periodo di volo: Polivoltina con sfarfallamenti da maggio a luglio e in agosto. Gli adulti della seconda generazione svernano rimanendo in vita sino alla primavera successiva, per cui è possibile osservare esemplari in volo nelle giornate miti anche in pieno inverno."
