Dopo un po' di ricerca ho trovato in provincia di Reggio anche le Ophrys fusca ssp. lupercalis, dalla fioritura estremamente precoce e prime Ophrys a comparire, specie mai formalmente segnalata e ritenuta non presente in Calabria. La fioritura è in linea con le tempistiche della vicina Sicilia, dove si possono ammirare già a fine novembre, al netto del ritardo di circa 20 giorni che c'è tra le fioriture sull'isola e quelle nei dintorni di Reggio
