Autunno al Kruger National Park. Era il 2017 e questa è una delle mie primissime foto di wildlife. Per anni avevo viaggiato “disarmata” prima di decidermi ad “imbracciare” una macchina fotografica, tanto mi intimidiva con la sua complessità… È una foto che ho riscoperto e che mi ricorda un incontro bellissimo. Faceva già molto caldo, anche se era prima mattina, e un giovane ghepardo si era messo all'ombra di un Mopane, chiamato anche albero farfalla per la forma delle sue foglie che sembrano ali appaiate di farfalla. La luce filtrava tra le foglie che, verdissime in primavera ed estate, diventano multicolori in autunno. Il ghepardo ci ha rivolto uno sguardo, tra incuriosito e dolce, che non dimenticherò…
