Grazie per la risposta Matti. Fino a 300 mm il Sigma C è molto buono, poi segna progressivamente il passo fino ai 600 mm dove perde decisamente di nitidezza a confronto con la serie S. Come velocità effettivamente non primeggia, ma anni fa ho scattato con una vecchia APS-C come la D7100 e me la sono cavata sufficientemente bene in una serie di giornate come fotografo di eventi motoristici in pista (auto guida veloce e guida sicura), pur sotto la pioggia durante tutti i tre giorni dell'evento, sfruttando il range di focali a disposizione. Nessuno si è lamentato del risultato. Ho provato, sempre sulla D7100, come confronto durante altri tre giorni, ma con bel tempo, sempre in pista ( moto SBK), il Nikon 500 F/4 ed è un altro mondo, veloce e accurato, nitido e luminoso, ma devi avere come corredo almeno una o due fotocamere di appoggio per scatti più ravvicinati, a pena di mancare magari proprio lo scatto del giorno. Non parliamo del peso e del costo degli obiettivi fissi. Ora con le serie Z ML il discorso è cambiato, direi in meglio, ma i fissi luminosi costano sempre molto, tanto che pochi si permettono l'acquisto, preferendo noleggiarli, anche parlando di professionisti, soprattutto free-lance.
