A Ragusa Ibla al centro dei giardini Iblei si trova il convento dei Cappuccini e la piccola Chiesa di Sant' Agata, a me cara anche perché 41 anni fa presso quell'altare è stato celebrato il mio matrimonio. La Chiesa presenta una facciata molto semplice e priva di decorazioni, all'interno vi è un'unica navata con un tetto a capriate lignee, che si presume precedente al terremoto del 1693. Gli altari lignei rappresentano delle vere e proprie opere d'arte e furono intagliati dagli stessi Frati Cappuccini a partire dal 1600, ma ciò che cattura lo sguardo del visitatore, una volta entrato nella piccola Chiesa è il meraviglioso altare maggiore sormontato dal famoso trittico di Pietro Novelli, probabilmente, una delle opere d'arte più belle della Sicilia Orientale.
