Inconfondibile per il suo colore giallo più o meno intenso a seconda dell'esemplare. Da evitare per la sua tossicità. Le verruche che ti hanno incuriosito sono il resto della volva. La volva è l'involucro che contiene il fungo nella parte iniziale, come un uovo anche per forma, da dove in fase di crescita esce il corpo fruttifero (carpoforo), ovvero, quello che noi chiamiamo semplicisticamente "fungo" che ha il compito di produrre le spore per la riproduzione della specie.
Scusa se sono stato troppo prolisso, ma non ho saputo resistere; la micologia è una disciplina scientifica che da sempre mi ha affascinato.
